Let God, Be God [faith]

Let God Be God

I’m amazed at the freedom I feel right now! Sometimes I get so overwhelmed with my thoughts of what I have to do, how I’m going to do it, when it’s going to happen and how’s it going to happen. But ironically, we’re not asked to do it alone.

God is the master of E V E R Y T H I N G! We have to have faith in Him and also leave it up to Him to bring things to fruition. But make no mistake about it, God works on HIS timing and not ours. So although we may be forced to wait…wait patiently!

And while you’re waiting, continue to PRAY and seek Him. One of the hardest things for me to do is to fight the urge to take things into my own hands. I recently just dealt with something where I took something into my own hands thinking I had to bring it all together. I became very frustrated when pieces weren’t adding up. After about a month on the struggle bus, something finally made sense to me – STOP! Stop planning. Stop stressing. Stop trying to make things work. Stop and wait on The Lord!

Had I been praying AND listening AND waiting, I may have caught on earlier that I was doing and taking on too much. God had showed me something and I just wanted to run with it because I was so excited. But because I ran with it, it made it harder for me to hear The Lord and His direction. Thus I put everything on my shoulders and left it up to ME to complete. But there’s one problem…He never asked me to do it by myself!

There’s so much freedom in knowing I serve The God who CAN, who DOES and who WILL. When we rest in Him, we enable Him to be God. Granted He’s God whether we rest or not, but in letting Him be God, we don’t tire ourselves, nor stress our little selves out trying to accomplish these great feats.

He is faithful to complete the good work He started in you (Phillippian 1:6), so let Him do that while you faithfully wait on Him. Take that unnecessary stress, frustration and anger off of your plate and spend some time with The Lord today. Let God do His thing. Let Him be God!

Lord, I thank You for the will you have for my life.

I thank You for not leaving me to do it alone.

I pray that You would help me to be patient and obedient as I wait for you, Lord.

I trust You with my life.

I love You!

Amen!
